I agree, some way to notify us, a browser notification, extension, slack, Facebook... something to ding us so we can help ASAP

When you integrate human escalation, it would be ideal to leverage a tool like Slack not only for notifications but also for chatting back and forth with users, so we don't have to be signed in to the website app to be notified or to chat with the user at that point. Leveraging Facebook Messenger integration would also be helpful.
